Chestnut Cove Retreat on Weiss Lake - Sleeps 26 - Pet Friendly

Chestnut Cove property (sleeps 26). We rented this property for a Sibling family reunion from June 5-12, 2025. This property is a beautiful property that lacked over site and needs a more hands on management. Property management and maintenance personnel were very responsive but , the cleanliness upon arrival was lacking and we had to remove cobwebs from all baseboards and deck areas before our family arrived. Cushions to outside furniture had to be scrubbed. The arcade game in the basement game room did not work. They requested for cleaning and wipe down be conducted before we left, but no cleaning tools were readily available, so we had to provide our own. A broom was located after 30 minutes of searching. The owner did install a new hot tub that became available the week we stayed and the family enjoyed it. The docks have outlets but did not work and we were unable to charge our boats unless we tied to the covered boat house which did not have proper boat cleats. With everything above stated, we would still recommend this property for large gatherings and or family reunions. The access to the lake and ability to have a boat ramp at the property makes it very convenient. All comments were relayed to the property managers and maintenance personnel via text message in hopes these matters would be taken care off. Thank you for a great stay!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and felt right at home. The spacious accommodations were perfect for our large group, and we were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the retreat, the hot tub was definitely a plus!!! The stunning views of Weiss Lake were absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was relaxing by the lake or exploring the surrounding area. The amenities provided were top-notch, and we appreciated the attention to detail in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will definitely be recommending Chestnut Cove Retreat to our friends and family. Thank you once again for providing such a memorable and delightful stay!

Our stay at Chestnut Cove and the Nest truly made our Thanksgiving family gathering enjoyable. We have a large family but there was plenty of comfortable sleeping / relaxing space for all of us to stay for a few days. The accommodations provided everything we needed to cook large meals, entertain ourselves in the game room, relax in the outdoor gazebo and watch the kids play in the large yard. Another favorite activity was hanging out on the dock and swimming in the lake. We'll definitely book this place again.
